Since 2005, photographer Evelyn Merino Reyna has been taking to the skies above Lima in a selection of powered and unpowered aircraft. Her aim was to photograph the Peruvian capital from above, to "rediscover our city from a different and particular perspective."
Her collection of 300 aerial photos, called Lima Más Arriba (Lima Above), will be published in January 2013. Prior to the publication of the book, 50 large-scale images are going on a tour of the Lima Metropolitan Area.
The photos are currently on display in the Parque de la Exposición in the center of Lima (intersection of 28 Julio and Paseo de la República), where they will stay until mid-June. The open-air exposition is open daily from 9 am to 8 pm; entrance is free.
