If you happen to be anywhere near Miami this weekend, head over to the Miami Airport Convention Center for the Taste of Peru Gastronomic Festival. The event, which will be taking place for its third year running, is the largest Peruvian gastronomic festival in the United States.
The three-day festival (November 9 to 11) will feature more than forty representatives from the world of Peruvian food and drink, with traditional cuisine from the three geographic regions of Peru. Along with food shows and cooking demonstrations (and plenty of pisco), there will also be a Peruvian Paso horse show, art and photography exhibits, traditional music and live folkloric dancing (Saturday and Sunday only; Friday is a VIP cocktail event). There's also a big party -- Peruvian style -- on Saturday night, so don't forget your dancing shoes...
