Peru’s most famous beach hotspot, the small town of Máncora is the place for sun, sea and surf. The Pan-American Highway runs right past the town, meaning you can hop off the bus and jump straight in the ocean. Finding a place to stay may be a better first option; thankfully, Máncora is well equipped to deal with the hordes of holidaying Peruvians and international tourists that descend upon the town.
The party scene is lively, the beaches are good and surfers can always find some respectable waves. Máncora is the kind of place where two days turn into seven.
